Today we talked about inductive and deductive reasoning. Inductive is observed and deductive is test or uses facts like definitions, theorems, and postulates. We talked about how a counterexample can disprove a conjecture. LOTS AND LOTS of vocabulary. Students have assignments on BIG ideas. next Tuesday and Thursday will be PM1 testing for English and Math respectively. ALL GEOMETRY classes will be testing in my room for English and will HOLD in my room during math. That means we get 3 hours of Geometry on Thursday... We will not be losing class time, but actually gaining it : ) This is NOT a day students should be absent, just because they aren't testing. We will be working.
